Connecting your Wii U to the internet
From the Wii U Menu, select System Settings followed by Internet. Press Connect to the Internet and your Wii U Console will search for available wireless networks.
Once the search has completed, use the right stick to select the connection you wish to use. If your network is password protected, you will then be asked to enter the password by using your Wii U GamePad.
If you enter the password incorrectly, you will receive an error message asking you to re-enter your password.
Your Wii U will now perform a connection test. When this has been successfully completed, press OK. You will then be asked if you would like to make this your default connection.
You will then be asked to perform a System Update. We recommend that you complete this update, as it will ensure you have access to all the latest Wii U features.
Failed Connection Tests

To connect your Wii U Console to the internet using a wired connection, you’ll need to purchase a Wii U LAN Adapter.
To connect it, switch your Wii U Console off and plug the Wii U LAN Adapter into one of the USB ports.
