Liquid and casing damage – Nintendo 2DS

My Nintendo 2DS has damaged casing, what can I do?

If your Nintendo 2DS has damaged casing you can book it in for inspection by the Nintendo Customer Support Team. Unfortunately, this isn’t covered by you warranty so there may be a charge. Details of these costs can be found at ourguideline prices for out-of-warranty repairs page.

Liquid damage that isn’t water

Liquids other than water can quickly damage your Nintendo 2DS, so a repair will be necessary. Unfortunately this type of damage is not covered by your warranty.

You can still send us your Nintendo 2DS to be inspected, but you will be liable for the full cost of any repairs.

Details of these costs can be found on our guideline prices for out-of-warranty repairs page.

Water damage

Let your system dry for a few days, but do not attempt to speed up the process with a hairdryer – or anything else ¬– as this can damage your system.

If the system does not work properly after a few days, a repair will be necessary. We’ll be happy to repair your Nintendo 2DS, but unfortunately this kind of damage isn’t covered by your warranty so you’ll be liable for the cost of the repairs.

Details of these costs can be found on our guideline prices for out-of-warranty repairs page.
